Chapter History
You have to know where you’ve been to know where you are going. Kappa holds a special place in its heart for Fraternity history, but every chapter of our organization has unique beginnings of its own. Each plays a part in shaping us today. Read more about our chapters’ histories in Kappa's digital archives.
The Zeta Iota chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was founded November 13, 1982. Starting with 60 women, the chapter has continued to grow and flourish since that day. Becoming a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma is the entering into the bonds of an unwavering support system. Sisterhood is the very essence of Zeta Iota and we have the privilege to wake up every morning knowing that throughout our journey we have Kappa sisters standing by us every step of the way. One of the most incredible facets of entering into this sisterhood is that it is for life. Kappa is much more than functions in Philadelphia, early wakeups during recruitment, songs sung during chapter, or friends to go to King of Prussia with on the weekends. The relationships built through Kappa span beyond the four years of college, and give us the comfort of knowing that throughout our lifetimes we will have sisters to laugh with, to cry with, and to share our memories with of our days in KKG back at Villanova.
